Zaitra, established in 2020, is a startup primarily emphasising delivering tailored flight software and cutting-edge AI solutions for space missions. Our endeavours encompass projects for both the European Space Agency and commercial customers. We are also preparing for expansion to the USA.
What will be your role
We are looking for both junior and senior candidates in the area of business development (BD) and sales. This primarily involves preparing project proposals for NASA/ESA (European Space Agency) and seeing them through to the preparation and contract stage, before the project is transited to the technical team. Additionally, it includes working with existing partners, networking, identifying opportunities for public funding and other government contracts (e.g., EIC, EDF, TAČR, MPO, CzechInvest calls). Your capacity may also be utilized to support proposals for private commercial clients.
Our current need is not to create a traditional sales team that offers a ready to use product, that is still in development.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Identifying public funding and monitoring different programmes and tenders
- Preparing project proposals primarily for public funding, but also for selling to government institutions (B2G) and potentially the private sector (B2B)
- Coordinating the team during project proposal preparation
- Attending and preparing for international conferences
- Networking and relationship-building
- Supporting business development for space technologies or potentially the defense sector
- Strategic positioning
- Assisting with expansion into new markets (e.g., the USA)
What do we expect
- At least basic technical and project-oriented thinking, along with an interest in Space and DeepTech
- Good coordination skills to manage collaboration among different team members
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to improve, especially in the areas of project preparation and proposal writing
