Zaitra, established in 2020, is a startup with a primary emphasis on delivering tailored flight software and cutting-edge AI solutions for space missions. Our endeavours encompass projects for both the European Space Agency and commercial customers.

What will be your role?

​In the role of an Embedded engineer, you will be responsible for integrating our AI models into the hardware/software solution deployed onboard spacecraft or satellites. This entails:

  • Implementation of software targeting specific hardware units (C/C++, OpenMP, CUDA)
  • Custom Embedded Linux build (Yocto project, Buildroot, Petalinux)
  • Testing on development kits and flight hardware in our facilities

What do we expect?

  • Good knowledge of embedded systems
  • Experience with embedded linux builds (Yocto project/buildroot)
  • Knowledge of linux drivers
  • Ability to independently design, implement and test needed solutions
  • Knowledge of protocols and interfaces (CAN, SPI, Ethernet, USB, etc.)
  • Capability to study schematics and data sheetsπŸ”
  • Excellent knowledge of Git (conflict resolution, rebase, commit messages) πŸ”€
  • Previous experience in creating production solutions (at least personal projects)
  • Enthusiasm for space 🌌

What is nice to have?

  • You have experience with VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog programming and willingness to learn to work with FPGAs
  • Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS)
  • You have experience with Python (most of our tooling is written in Python) πŸ’»

  • Experience with embedded laboratory equipment
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards
  • You are an active contributor to open-source projects πŸ™Œ
