Integration
The partnership with Simera Sense combines the MultiScape100 imager with ZAITRA’s SKAIDOCK on-board processor, utilizing FPGA IP cores and AI software to enable real-time processing and intelligent compression. This results in significant improvements in data handling and access.
The integrated SKAIPACK Region-of-Interest (RoI) compression uses AI to automatically detect high-value regions and maintains their lossless quality, while aggressively compressing less relevant background (like clouds or ocean). This process can reduce data volume by up to 98.6%. The result is reduced downlink bandwidth needs and optimized transmission efficiency.
SKAISEN transforms satellite imagery into actionable insights directly in orbit. The AI models analyze data immediately after capture, including object recognition, enabling autonomous decisions and faster response. The output is structured JSON metadata, delivering ready-to-use information without waiting for ground processing.
