SKAIDOCK
SKAIDOCK delivers high-performance data processing and handling for small satellite missions. Designed for CubeSats, it offers seamless integration and plug-and-play compatibility with Simera Sense xScape imagers, making it the ideal choice for modern Earth Observation missions.
At its core, SKAIDOCK features the Xiphos Q8 module powered by a Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC. With flight heritage from hundreds of missions, the Q8 ensures trusted reliability in space environments. SKAIDOCK includes redundant system and data storage for increased mission resilience. Its versatile interface suite, ranging from RS422 to Ethernet and beyond, makes it adaptable to a wide range of platforms and payloads.

Camera connector is configured with one-to-one matching interfaces and pinout as a Simera Sense xScape imagers. It contains I2C, SPI, PPS, LVDS pairs compatible with Simera protocol as well as LVDS pairs for SpaceWire signals, and 5V power output to the camera.
In addition to the Camera conncetor, SKAIDOCK features second interface that provides 21 LVDS pairs to support connection of imaging systems utilizing CameraLink protocol or high-speed communication subsystems.
SKAIDOCK features two CAN interfaces, connected to the PS side of the MPSoC. Bus termination can be enabled in the connector, by connecting specified pins.
Serial RSxxx interface is dependent on Q8 configuration (1x RS422 or 1x RS485 or 2x RS232).
SKAIDOCK incorporates 2 Ethernet interfaces operating at 1Gbps
SPI interface also operates at 3V3 and has also two different connectors. SPI in the Camera connector has one chip select pin, standalone SPI has three chip select pins. Only one connector can be used.
SKAIDOCK has been qualified for operation in a space environment. During thermal-vacuum (TVAC) testing, it was tested for operational temperatures between -40°C and +60°C.
The board has also undergone sine and random vibration testing, shock testing, and radiated emissions measurements. The Xiphos Q8 module, with extensive flight heritage, has also been fully qualified.
